Wanita itu bernama Jinghan Naan. Ia membuktikan stigma orang-orang yang menganggap orang Tionghoa sulit berpindah agama. Melalui akun Facebook-nya. Ia mengunggah percakapan ayahnya dengan seorang penjual saat berbelanja.
Sang penjual kaget mengetahui keduanya bukan orang Malaysia karena Jinghan memakai hijab. "Tapi anakmu memakai hijab? Apakah ia China muslim?" tanya sang penjual.
Ayah Jinghan mengiyakan bahwa anaknya adalah seorang China muslim. Kemudian sang penjual bertanya kembali apakah sang ayah mengizinkan anaknya untuk berpindah agama. Ayah Jinghan pun mengiyakan dan mengaku mendukung anaknya. Sang penjual terlihat terkejut dan berkomentar hal itu sangat jarang terjadi.
Merasa penasaran, Jinghan pun ikut bertanya kepada ayahnya kenapa sang ayah mengizinkan Jinghan memeluk agama Islam. Jawaban sang ayah ternyata membuatnya sangat terenyuh.
"Apa tujuan hidup? Mencari kebahagiaan. Beda orang, beda juga cara mendapat kebahagiaannya. Beberapa orang mungkin menemukan kebahagiaan dalam harga, sebagian lagi dalam keluarga, dan sebagian lagi dalam agama. Sebagai orang tua, apa sih yang kita paling inginkan? Kita ingin anak-anak kita bahagia," jawab sang ayah kepada Jinghan dilansir dari WorldofBuzz.
Jawaban sang ayah menjadi sesuatu yang tak terlupakan bagi Jinghan. Ia juga sangat mengagumi ayahnya yang menomorsatukan kebahagiaannya hingga tak bergeming dengan celoteh orang lain yang terkadang negatif.
